In our journey to live a more happy and positive life, we have learned how important it is to love ourselves!
Self-love can take some practice and you may fall down a few times. Especially when the self-doubt kicks in.
Self-doubt is when you second guess yourself. When you over think every little step in your life. Self-doubt is something we feel constantly as moms.
We constantly think things like,
Am I doing enough?
Am I a good enough mom?
What if I mess up?
What if I fail?
Those simple thoughts can you bring you down. They can strip away your happiness and stop you from achieving your goals.
So what do we do when those thoughts come crashing in like a wrecking ball?
Number one most important piece advice I can give you is to never give up. Do not quit just because you are second guessing yourself.
Identify The Problem.
Take a few minutes to yourself and really reflect on why you are feeling this way. Be honest with yourself.
Maybe you feel like you are generally failing as a mother. If that is the case I want you to sit in a dark room by yourself in complete silence or with some very relaxing music.
Sit down and close your eyes. Now bring your self-doubt feelings to the surface. Why do you feel like you are failing?
Simply identifying the “why” is going to help you move mountains. Now that you have the why I want you to concentrate on fixing the why.
Picture yourself fixing the why. Go through every step you need to take to fix that problem. Then open your eyes.
It’s important to remember to be realistic with yourself. No mother is perfect. No woman is perfect. So don’t set unrealistic goals for yourself. Do the best that YOU can do.
Stop Comparing Yourself
Self-doubt most notably comes from comparing yourself to others. In motherhood, business, marriage and more.
This is a terrible habit to have yet we all have it.
When you stop comparing yourself to others you have time to focus on yourself. Always remember the grass is NEVER greener on the other side.
Challenge yourself every single day to stop comparing your life to others. Create the life YOU want and go for it.
Find Your Strength
Self-doubt and fear are going to hold you back from everything you want in life.
When you feel that fear of failure breathing down your neck that’s when you know it’s time to tackle it head-on.
If you live in fear you will always live with “what if.” Do you really want to live a life of what ifs?
Believe in yourself and overcome those obstacles that you never thought you could. Always move forward. Never stop. Never look back to find regrets or failures. Keep moving forward.
You will find your strength when you cross that bridge and realize you are just fine. In fact, you are more than fine. You are happy and successful. You are strong.
When the next hurdle in your life appears you will notice that you don’t have so much self-doubt. You will notice that you actually have strength and courage.
You know that conquering whatever this may be will only set you on the path that leads to more happiness and success.
